There really is no limit to what is possible for mail when print is combined with mobile technology. From cover to cover we explored the USPS Irresistible book for mail innovations that can take your next campaign to new heights.

I was very impressed with the overall quality of the book and each mail piece. The USPS irresistible books are always exciting to receive and open and this one by far takes the cake. All 8 pieces were beautifully enhanced with the use of mobile technology. Additionally, the finishing techniques really made them stand out. Four color process pieces with varying finishes such as spot gloss, spot UV, satin AQ, foil stamping, embossing, die cutting, varnishes and overall UV coatings were all used.


If you love specialty finishes like me, you’ll really enjoy this book. The best part is that they integrated technology into every piece and all of them fit the mailing requirements for size and specifications set by the USPS. These pieces also double as a great model and inspiration for planning your next direct mailing piece.


My favorite pieces include:


Cirque De Lune (This piece has foil stamping, embossing and spot gloss throughout the envelope box and the postcards inside including 4 innovations: share mail, AR, Formats, Video)


Opt -1 virtual reality kit (This piece uses an app on a smartphone that takes you on a white water kayak expedition while simultaneously showing you ads for camping equipment. This piece also uses 4 innovations: VR, Format, Texture and Scent).


Overall I give this piece a 10 out of 10 because the USPS Irresistible books are just what the title says Irresistible.
